The Mentawai islands are in Sumatra. The archipelago is made up of 4 main islands called Siberut, Sipura, Pagai Utara and Pagai Selatan. In them you will be able to surf more than ten different waves.

The Mentawai islands are one of the most consistent destinies to surf worldwide. The best time to surf is from late March to early  November, that is when the Indian Ocean sends the best waves towards the Mentawai islands.

The waves are located in the west of the islands except some of them. The distances among them are not so long, for example, if you are in the Patio you must sorround ten waves to  surf (Kanduis, the North of Kanduis, the Midle-island, Johnkendy, etc. ...) ...and if you are in Telescopes you have more other waves to surf (Scarcrews, Arik, Force suicide on, Iceland, etc. ...)

But in addition to excellent waves, in the Mentawai also you will find perfect reefs to dive. Not in vain one says that in the near future the Mentawai will be so famous among divers as it is today among surfers.
