Maldives is a Republic and is located to the south (450 kilometers from the Deccan) peninsula. You will not need a car, because the capital, Male, is small. It is easy to get a cab, but one of the best thing is to go in boats.

The most consistent season in the main atoll, Male, it is from April to October. Meanwhile the best season for surfing the south atoll is during June and July, because the size of the waves varies from 4 to 8 feet.
 
We advise surfers to bring a good quiver, because you will find very few surf shops. There is nowhere to rent boards.

It is not necessary to wear a wet suit, although a lycra will protect you from the sun. Also it is recommended to use sun block and bring a pair of small boots to protect you from the reefs.

The waves are perfect for experienced’ surfers; and are also spots for beginners.
