General
Tarifa is a small town on the southernmost coast of the Iberian Peninsula (Tarifa is the southernmost point in continental Europe). It is part of the province of Cádiz, which, in turn, is part of the Andalusia region.
Tarifa is located on the Costa de la Luz ("coast of light"), in the Straits of Gibraltar.
You will be able to take a Fast Ferry Boat to Tangier, Morocco (35 min. crossing / daily departures from Tarifa)

Adventures
Tarifa is very popular amought windsurfers and kitesurfers due to the strong winds of the straits. This is why Tarifa is also dotted with hundreds of wind turbines.
You can also watch whales and dolphins done from the 14 kilometer wide Straits.

- In summer there is live music almost every day at Tanakas Plaza
- The Feria in the first week of September. The Virgin of Light is carried through the streets being followed by more than 200 horses. Most of the shop close and people celebrate until the wee hours of the morning.

Night Life
There's more to Tarifa than kitsurfing and outdoor adventures, because there is also a wide range of bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs. Most restaurants and clubs are in town, within walking distance. Between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM the clubs open and don't close till 8AM.
