Complete Course Description – Basic Outline
First Day – Initiation on Land
2 hours lessons - Learning Kitesurf
The first part of this course will take you through the steps of and launching, landing and piloting a 4 line kite on the beach.
You will also learn about safety and how important it is to the sport. Furthermore, you will be taken through the steps of different equipment set ups.
Second Day – Initiation on the Water
2 hours Kite lessons
By the end of this day, you will be ready to move to the next step: getting up on the board! We will take you through body dragging in the water and get you used to handling the Kite and board in the water. You will improve kite piloting with power, one hand kite piloting, body dragging unhooked and hooked in to your harness, all the time using radio helmets.
Third Day - Waterstart and Riding with optional Boat training
2 hours learning Kitesurf
This is it! What you've been waiting for. The Waterstart and Riding the board! By the end of the day you should be up and riding, at first you'll be going slightly downwind but we will try to get you staying upwind even and get you as far as we can so that from now you just need supervision while you practise more and more.
***After that, you will be able to rent equipment and practice under supervision
Entry level: No experience needed. Be able to swim.

This is the best of the best in training, because you will learn in 1 hour the equivalent to 2-4 hours normal training.
If You are here for a short time only and want to learn Kitesurfing in the most efficient way possible, or if you simply just want the very best in Kitesurf training then this is for you!
You will train with Stefan, the founder and owner of the Kitesurf school in Cabarete, using the very best of equipment and taken care of by Stefan himself and two of his best Assistants, using the boat and radios way away from other Kitesurfers to ensure you learn quickly, easily and safely with the best conditions.

Radio-Boat Training
Fast, Safe, Simple!
Calima kitesurf offer the only school that uses radio helmets and a boat as teaching aids. Both options help us make more efficient use of your time. 100% of the lesson time is spent in the water (no walking back upwind!) and you learn away from others.
This is offered as an option to the time stated for the Discovery and Intermediate Kiteboarder courses as well as additional time should you require it.
Note: In Cabarete beach is a Shop where you can buy kitesurf equipment and much more things, if you need some special kite gear, you can ask and we will find you some very good prices.
