Beliche
This is one of best beaches around. The wave is a hollow left. It gets perfect with the right conditions which are North wind, South or Northeast swell and low tide.
Tonel
Tonel is one of the closest beaches to the Surf House and is a good wave for beginners. With a clean swell it’s quite consistent.
Mareta
This waves work only with clean swell and is quit perfect, so when it’s working is normally crowed.
Zavial
Zavial is one of the most popular waves on the South coast, Zavial is a fast and consistent right. It is claimed that Zavial is one of the best waves in Portugal.
Praia da Luz
In praia da luz you have two options. To surf a fast and hollow left... or a consistent and perfect right, good for practicing manouvers.
Praia da Bordeira
This Spot is known for being one the most beautiful beaches in south Portugal. With a high tide it is one of the most tubular and perfect waves in the area, especially the rights that break in front of a river mouth. The lefts are also good, although you will sometimes find a lot of surfers, but there are sufficient waves for everyone. This zone has consistent waves but it is also very sensitive to the wind.
Praia do Amado
In Praia do Amado there is a variety of waves and for many surfers… this makes this beach one of the favourite beaches of beginners.
Praia da Cordama
Praia da Cordama is a nice beach break. With a good swell and no wind, you will have excellent surf sessions.
Praia Castelejo
If you prefer isolated beaches, then Praia de Castelejo is the best option. During the spring and summer the river mouth drys up and forms excellent sand banks. But also this beach is very sensible to the wind and in winter the sand banks will diminish.
